Gumilang Hospitality (GH) was established on March 16, 2013 by Mr. Yogie Sasmitapura with Mr. Handrio Utomo, as a business development venture of PT Girilanggeng Arta under leadership of Mr. Yok Sasmitapura, the company's President Director.

The formation of Gumilang Hospitality stems from the success garnered in management of Gumilang Regency Hotel. Since its inception, there are already many hotels under Gumilang Hospitality that are build, managed or owned by GH with more hotels set in sight.

Gumilang Hospitality aims to complement this industry’s growth by providing new hotel owner(s) and those looking to upgrade, the opportunities to share the experience of GH’s expertises in the construction, planning, and management of their hotels adherence to international standards resulting in profitability and competitiveness.

YOGIE SASMITAPURA

President

Gumilang Hospitality is the brainchild of Yogie Sasmitapura whom prior to establishing Gumilang Hospitality served as General Manager of Gumilang Regency Hotel. Mr. Sasmitapura first joined the hospitality industry within Rank & File position working his way up to various managerial position ranging from Housekeeping Management, Purchasing Management and Human Resources Management. Later enrolled in The Management Develovement Program, during the course of the program, Mr. Sasmitapura was tutored and worked alongside professionals whom have had experience in Hospitality make him an expert in Hospitality Management. Mr. Sasmitapura is competent in budget planning and analyzing Profit & Loss. Mr. Sasmitapura received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economy Management from Maranatha University in 2008

ALM. HANDRIO UTOMO

Founder

Handrio Utomo has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Gumilang Hospitality in 2013, Mr. Utomo has served in various strategic and managerial positions for Hyatt International Group starting with Aryaduta Hyatthotel in 1989, Grand Hyatt Jakarta from 1991 to 1999 and later served as General Manager for Hyatt Regency Bandung from 1999 to 2005. In 2006, he worked as Hotel Consultant. Later in 2010, he served as General Manager of Royal Panghegar (Pre-Opening Team) and Vice-President Operation of Panghegar Hospitality Management. Handrio Utomo completed his hospitality education from Denhaag Hotel School.

HANDI SAPUTRA

Director of Operations

Having graduated from Maranatha Christian University majoring in Accounting major and worked for 5 years as auditor SPV for Argent Comptable KAP, Handi Saputra has serviced many clients from varying industries. His work involved but not limited to Internal Audit, Accounting system, Tax Services, Audit Investigation, Tax Report and Financial Report. In 2008 he worked as Financial Controller at a four stars hotel in Bandung handling all finance matters. In 2014 he joining to Gumilang Hospitality as a Director of Finance handling all finance and accounting matters at client under Gumilang Hospitality Management. As a Hotel Consultant under Gumilang Hospitality, he has fully trained the trainer course about all hospitality industry by Hyatt Management Hotel mentoring by Mr. Handrio Utomo. With his capability in 2019 he promoted to be a Director of Operations at Gumilang Hospitality. With his proficiency in Hotelieur, he is invaluable to Gumilang Hospitality team

Recently renovated in 2010, Gumilang Regency is a 106-room hotel equipped with a grand ballroom, 5 meeting rooms, swimming pool, business center, restaurant, convenient store, karaoke, spa and fitness centre. GH was involved in Gumilang Regency transformation into a multi purpose Hotel catering to business and leisure guest alike. As a result, Gumilang Regency is well known in north of Bandung.

Chara Hotel

A uniquely designed budget hotel with an exterior of a container and wooden finish interior located down town catered to both domestic and international guests. GH's involvement was ground up. With facilities of 30 rooms, coffee shop and two meeting rooms. As 2013 the hotel is running smoothly with high occupancy.

Red Star is expected to open in December 2014 (soft opening).
